Basel

Our Basel office is located in the historic centre of Basel known as one of most buzzing tram hubs in the city.  Our working space is minutes away from the SBB train station either on foot or by tram.  One of special advantages of being in the old town is the mix of traditional architecture and modern amenities that are offered just beyond our doorstep. Account Manager

Job description

We are looking for great strategic thinkers to join our growing Basel-based team.

Focused on building long-lasting, trusted relationships, you will help clients navigate challenges and opportunities across internal communications and audience engagement. 

You will be an integral part of the wider company, just as happy getting ‘stuck in’ as you are leading a team. Reporting to the Account Director, you will draw upon your people skills, communication expertise, and latest insights from industry and clients, to provide ongoing strategic direction to the business. Fascinated by human behavior and the value of effective communication, you’re happiest when helping connect the dots, suggesting ideas, and collaborating closely with peers and clients alike to deliver meaningful change for our clients.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Developing an excellent understanding of the value of Audience services, and combining these with an awareness of the latest communication and meetings and events industry changes and best practices, and applying this knowledge to create meaningful change for our clients
    • Representing Audience and our values with clients, partners, and at an industry events
    • Working with the Senior Account Manager / Account Director to gain an understanding of the Audience strategic plan, and as an Account Manager, how to contribute to support company gr
    • Contributing to the account strategy and taking responsibility to ensure both account retention and growth
    • Building solid relationships, mutual trust and respect with clients
    • Building a deep understanding of clients, their organisation, internal audiences, and industry communication needs, challenges, and objectives
    • Leading proposal development and contributing to requests for proposal (RFPs) when required
    • Building and securing project scopes and appropriate project teams, with support from resourcing and production functions, based on knowledge of the client's requirements and Audience's expertise
    • Utilising knowledge of client needs, challenges and objectives, and Audience's services to provide strategic insight and appropriate direction to the internal project team, to ensure projects deliver on the client brief and achieve their objectives to the highest quality
    • Leading project teams, providing clear briefs, motivation, and focus. Using a hands-on management style, working closely with colleagues and partners to ensure they understand and proactively deliver on project briefs, that upholds the vitality of the agency/client relationship
    • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget, acting as the day-to-day escalation point for queries. Managing client expectations and obtaining client approval if scopes evolve (up or down)
    • Ensuring project learnings are captured and carried forward to future projects.
       

    Specific Skills required 

    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Experience with Google Workspace
    • Proficient in Microsoft 365
    • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) tools/platforms a plus
       

    About you …

    • Excellent client management experience, confident in building relationships and pitching new ideas to senior stakeholders
    • 4+ years successful communications and event management experience, ideally in Healthcare (Pharma, Biotech, Diagnostics)
    • 4+ years of business development experience, ideally with a focus on strategic communications and event planning
    • Excellent understanding of event marketing and audience engagement strategies. Ideally using integrated digital communications
    • The ability to assist clients in understanding and defining objectives from an audience perspective
    • Ability to build new networks and identify new business opportunities, both within current client organizations and also potential new clients
    • A can do attitude, with strong collaboration and cross-functional leadership skills
    • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
    • Flexible, versatile, and copes well under pressure
    • Proven experience meeting deadlines and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a senior graphic designer to join our global team based in Cambridge. We’re looking for a talented creative thinker with a clear understanding of strategic foundations, and a passionate designer who has the ability and flair to craft compelling digital and experiential design solutions.

    As the senior designer in Cambridge, you will play a key role in shaping how we present our work, grow our brand and champion our unique audience approach to elevate our client's internal, corporate and brand communications. Reporting to the Head of Creative, you will own your projects, advancing high-level thinking and strategic vision to create visually compelling design solutions. You will be proactive, taking the lead and not waiting to be led. You'll seek innovations and push boundaries.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide inspirational design ideas, graphic execution and direction across client work and pitches, proactively challenging the brief where necessary to develop dynamic, creative designs that realise the client’s objectives
    • Contribute to holistic design and strategic thinking around how to elevate the audience experience, how to enhance the audience journey end-to-end

    • Ideal sector experience – B2B, innovation, science and technology sectors’ lead experience – Life sciences and pharmaceutical experience preferable but not critical.
    • Have managed and delivered omni-channel communications projects from end to end, with projects including elements of strategy, creative, content development, production and digital.
    • The ability to assist clients in understanding and defining objectives from an audience perspective.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, able to come up with solutions and overcome obstacles.
    • A can-do attitude, with strong collaboration and leadership skills.
    • Clear and confident project management, financial management and decision-making skills.
    • Strong at presenting and articulating ideas.
